SUST Admission Circular 2025-26

- Application Time: Applications will open on December 8, 2025, and close on December 20, 2025.
- Admission Test: The admission test will be held on January 13 and January 14, 2026.

Admission Test Schedule
SUST holds the admission test 2025-2026 on two separate days. The confirmed schedule is:

Exam Centers
SUST holds its admission test in specific locations. For this session, the exam centers are:
- Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet.
- Various educational institutions in Sylhet city.

Important Note: Students applying for Architecture (ARC) must take their exam only at the SUST campus in Sylhet. Once the seats in Dhaka centers are filled, the option to choose Dhaka will no longer be available.
Application Eligibility
You must have some educational qualifications to apply for the SUST test. Here is the eligibility from the current circular:
Basic Requirement:
- You must pass SSC/Equivalent in 2022 or 2023.
- You must pass HSC/Equivalent in 2024 or 2025.
A Unit Eligibility (Science):
- Must be from the Science group.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 in both SSC/Equivalent and HSC/Equivalent exams.
- A total GPA of 6.5 (sum of SSC and HSC GPA).
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in Mathematics in the HSC exam (Minimum C grade for A-Level).
B Unit Eligibility (All Groups):
- Students from Science, Humanities, and Commerce groups can apply.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 in both SSC/Equivalent and HSC/Equivalent exams.
- A total GPA of 6.0 (sum of SSC and HSC GPA).
Other Qualifications:
- GCE (O-Level & A-Level): Must pass IGCSE (O Level) in at least 5 subjects with ‘B’ grades in at least 2 subjects. Must pass IAL (A Level) in 3 subjects with a ‘B’ grade in at least 1 subject.
- Diploma-in-Engineering: Students can also apply. They must have passed SSC in 2020 or 2021.
Note: GCE and Diploma students must email their grade sheets/certificates to equivalence-application@sust.edu by December 10, 2025, to determine eligibility before applying.
How to Apply
The application process is all online. Follow these steps:
- Visit the Website: Go to the official SUST admission website: admission.sust.edu.bd.
- Sign Up: Sign up using your HSC & SSC passing year, board, roll number, and a mobile number.
- Get User ID & Password: You will get a User ID and Password on your mobile.
- Sign In: Use this User ID and Password to “Sign In” to the portal.
- Fill Application Form: Upload a photo (300×400 pixels, max 100 KB), provide email, choose the exam center, and select the question language (Bangla/English).
- Choose Unit: Select Unit A or Unit B. If you want to apply for both, you must fill out two separate applications.
- Payment: The system will show you the amount to pay. Complete the payment through the methods shown on the website.
- Confirmation: After payment (within 24 hours), you will receive a Payment Confirmation and your Admission Test Roll Number via SMS and email.
Admit Card Download
You must download your admit card before the exam.

The admission test is an MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) test. The total merit list is based on 100 marks.
- Admission Test: 80 Marks.
