Medical Admission Circular 2025-26 (Official)

Admission Test Date

The medical admission test date is finalized.

• Test Time: 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM (1 hour 15 minutes).

Required Qualifications (New Policy)

To apply for the medical test, you must meet these new requirements from the 2025-26 Policy.

• Nationality: You must be a citizen of Bangladesh.
• HSC / Alim / Equivalent: You must pass the HSC or equivalent exam in 2025 or 2024.
• SSC / Dakhil / Equivalent: You must pass the SSC or equivalent exam in 2023 or 2022.
• Minimum GPA (General Students):
  • Total GPA: Must be 8.50 or more (by adding your SSC and HSC GPA).
  • Individual GPA: You must have a GPA of at least 4.00 in your SSC exam and a GPA of at least 4.00 in your HSC exam.
• Minimum GPA (Tribal & Hill Tracts Students):
  • Total GPA: Must be 8.00 or more (by adding your SSC and HSC GPA).
  • Individual GPA: You must have a GPA of at least 3.50 in your SSC exam and a GPA of at least 3.50 in your HSC exam.
• Biology Subject Requirement:
  • Very Important: You must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in Biology in your HSC exam.
• ‘O’ & ‘A’ Level Students: You must get an “Equivalency Certificate” from the DGME by applying through their website.

How to Apply

The application is a fully online process. Be very careful when filling out the admission form.

1. Go to Website: Visit the official Teletalk website: http://dgme.teletalk.com.bd.
2. Start Application: Click on “Apply Now” for MBBS & BDS Admission.
3. Select Application Type (Important): You must first choose your application type:
   • Both MBBS & BDS: To apply for both government and private Medical and Dental colleges.
   • Only MBBS: To apply for only government and private Medical colleges.
   • Only BDS: To apply for only government and private Dental colleges.
   • This choice cannot be changed after paying the fee.
4. Fill Academic Info: Enter your SSC and HSC Roll, Registration Number, Board, and Passing Year. Most of your information will fill automatically.
5. Fill Personal Details: Add your present address, permanent address, and mobile number. (Use a number that is always active! You will get all SMS alerts here).
6. Select Quota: If you have a quota (e.g., Freedom Fighter, Tribal), select it. You must have the proper documents for this.
7. Choose Colleges (Most Important): You will see the list of all government medical and/or dental colleges (based on your Application Type). You must select all of them, one by one, in order of your preference. Put your first choice at number 1, your second choice at number 2, and so on.
8. Upload Photo and Signature:
   • Photo: 300×300 pixels, JPG format, max 100KB.
   • Signature: 300×80 pixels, JPG format, max 60KB.
9. Submit & Print: Review your application preview. If all information is correct, submit the form.
10. Get User ID: After submitting, you will get an Applicant’s Copy with a User ID. Save and print this copy. You need this User ID to pay the fee.

Payment Instruction

You must pay the 1000 BDT application fee using a Teletalk prepaid mobile SIM. The Test Center is not selected in the online form; it is chosen during this SMS payment process.

1. Make sure you have at least 1012 BDT in your Teletalk SIM balance (for the fee and SMS charges).
2. Go to your phone’s message option.
3. First SMS:
   • Type: MBBSBDS <space> UserID
   • (Example: MBBSBDS QFGRTQ)
   • Send this SMS to 16222.
4. You will get a reply SMS with a PIN, your name, and the fee amount.
5. Second SMS:
   • Type: MBBSBDS <space> YES <space> PIN <space> CenterCode1,CenterCode2,CenterCode3,CenterCode4
   • (Example: MBBSBDS YES 123456 11,18,24,40)
   • Here, 123456 is the PIN you received. 11,18,24,40 are your four preferred test center codes (see the center list below), separated by commas.
   • Send this SMS to 16222.
6. You will get a final confirmation SMS. This message will confirm your payment and assign you a test center. It will also contain a Password.
7. Save your User ID and Password! You will need them to download your admit card.

Admission Test Center

You choose your preferred test centers during the SMS payment step (Second SMS). You will be allotted one center by Teletalk. There are 17 available test centers.

Admit Card Download

The Admit Card is mandatory for the MBBS and BDS Admission Test. You cannot enter the exam hall without it.

Download Date: The Medical Admission Admit card 2025 will be available from 07/12/2025 (Sunday) to 09/12/2025 (Tuesday).

How to Download:

1. Go to http://dgme.teletalk.com.bd.
2. Click the “Admit Card” menu.
3. Log in with your User ID and Password.
4. Your admit card will be shown. Download it as a PDF.

You must print the admit card in color on A4 paper.

Seat Plan

You do not need to search for your seat plan online. Your detailed seat plan will be written on your Admit Card.

The Admit Card will mention:

Marks Distribution for Medical Admission 2025-26 (NEW POLICY)

Your final merit score is calculated out of a total of 200 marks. This score is made from two parts:

Part 1: GPA Score (Total 100 Marks)

This score is calculated from your SSC and HSC results.

• SSC GPA: Your SSC GPA x 8 (Example: 5.00 x 8 = 40 Marks)
• HSC GPA: Your HSC GPA x 12 (Example: 5.00 x 12 = 60 Marks)
• Total GPA Score: 40 + 60 = 100 Marks

Part 2: Admission Test (Total 100 Marks)

This is the written exam.

• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
• Total Questions: 100
• Total Marks: 100
• Time: 75 Minutes (1 hour 15 minutes)
• Pass Mark: You must get at least 40 marks out of 100 to pass.

Subject-wise Marks in the MCQ Test:

• Biology: 30
• Chemistry: 25
• Physics: 15
• English: 15
• General Knowledge, Aptitude & Human Qualities: 15

Negative Marking: Be careful! Yes, there is negative marking. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted from your total score.

NEW Mark Deduction Rules

• For 2nd Timers: 3 marks will be deducted from your final merit score if you passed HSC in 2024.
• For Govt. College Students: 5 marks will be deducted from your final merit score if you were already admitted to a government medical or dental college in the previous year.

MBBS Admission 2025-2026 Result

The admission test result is usually published 2 to 3 days after the exam. The Directorate General of Medical Education will be announced the Date soon.

You can check your Medical result in two ways:

1. Online (Website):
   • Go to the DGME result website: https://result.dghs.gov.bd or dgme.teletalk.com.bd

   • If you pass, you will automatically receive an SMS on the mobile number you provided.

If you are selected for a medical college, you must go to that college on the dates given in the result notice. You must take your original documents with you, including:

Migration Result

After the first round of admissions, many seats become vacant. The DGME then runs an “auto-migration” process.

For example: If you get selected for a college that was your 5th choice, auto-migration might move you up to your 4th or 3rd choice if a seat becomes available. This is done automatically based on your merit position and college choice list. The migration results are also published on the DGME website.
