The Junior Scholarship 2025 is a very important exam for students in Bangladesh. Many people also know it as the Class 8 Scholarship 2025. It is a prestigious exam that selects talented students from grade eight.
In the past, the government used the Junior School Certificate (JSC) for scholarships. Now, this new system has replaced it. This exam finds the best students in the country. It gives them financial help and honor.
The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) published a “Revised” notice on October 29, 2025. The schedule is now final. This article gives you every detail. We explain the routine, rules, and marks in simple English for students and guardians.
What is a Junior Scholarship?
The Junior Scholarship is a competitive exam. The Ministry of Education organizes it. The old JSC exam was for everyone. However, the Class 8 Scholarship 2025 is different. It is selective. Only the top students from each school can sit for this test.
Winners get scholarships in two categories:
- Talentpool Scholarship: You get a higher monthly stipend and a one-time grant.
- General Grade Scholarship: You get a standard monthly stipend and a one-time grant.
Winning this scholarship is a big achievement. It helps your student profile for future college admissions.
Eligibility for Class 8 Scholarship 2025
Not every student in Class 8 can take this exam. The government wants to ensure quality. Therefore, they set specific rules for Class 8 Scholarship 2025 eligibility:
- Top Percentile Selection: Only the top 25% of students from a school can register. Schools select students based on Class 7 annual exams or Class 8 internal tests.
- Regular Students: You must be a regular student of Class 8. Your school or madrasah must be government-recognized.
- Registration: Your school must finish your eSIF (Electronic Student Information Form) registration. They must do this within the Education Board’s deadline.
