Admission Test Schedule
BUP has given the admission test dates for 2025-26. The exams are at different times. This means you can apply to more than one faculty.

Exam Centers: All Unit admission tests will be held in Dhaka City. Your admit card will show your exact exam hall and room.
Required Qualification
You must have minimum qualifications for the BUP Admission 2025-26. The rules are different for each faculty. They are also different for Science, Arts, and Business groups.
Important: These are general rules. You must check the official 2025-26 prospectus on the admission website. It will show the exact rules for your chosen department.
For FASS (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences):
- Science Group: Total GPA 8.00 (SSC + HSC).
- Business Studies Group: Total GPA 8.00 (SSC + HSC).
- Humanities Group: Total GPA 7.50 (SSC + HSC).
For FSSS (Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies):
- Science Group: Total GPA 8.50 (SSC + HSC).
- Business Studies Group: Total GPA 8.00 (SSC + HSC).
- Humanities Group: Total GPA 8.00 (SSC + HSC).
For FBS (Faculty of Business Studies):
- Science Group: Total GPA 8.50 (SSC + HSC).
- Business Studies Group: Total GPA 8.00 (SSC + HSC).
- Humanities Group: Total GPA 7.50 (SSC + HSC).
For FST (Faculty of Science & Technology) & FOE (Faculty of Engineering):
- Science Group: Total GPA 9.00 (SSC + HSC). You must have a minimum ‘A’ grade in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and a minimum ‘A-‘ grade in English at the HSC level.
How to Apply
You must apply online. Follow these easy steps:
- Go to Website: Go to the official BUP admission website: admission.bup.edu.bd.
- Click “Apply Now”: Find the “Undergraduate Admission 2025-26” section. Click “Apply Now”.
- Fill the Form: Fill the form with your SSC and HSC info (Roll, Reg. No, Board, Year). Be careful.
- Upload Photo & Signature: Upload a recent color photo and a clear signature. Follow the size rules on the website.
- Submit Form: Check all your info. Then submit the form. You will get a User ID and Password.
- Pay the Fee: Log in with your User ID and Password. You must pay the 1,100 BDT fee. You can use bKash, Rocket, Nagad, or a bank card.
- Print Copy: After paying, print the ‘Applicant’s Copy’. Keep it safe.
Eligible List
After applications close (November 30, 2025), BUP will check them. BUP will then post a list of “eligible” candidates. Only these students can take the test.

Admit Card Download
Only eligible students can download the admit card. You must have the admit card to enter the exam hall.
- Date: Admit cards can be downloaded from January 01, 2026 onward.
- How to Download:
- Go to admission.bup.edu.bd.
- Log in with your User ID and Password.
- You will see an option to “Download Admit Card”.
- Download the PDF. Print it in color. Bring it on exam day.
Seat Plan
BUP posts the seat plan 1-2 days before the test of each unit. The plan shows your building and room number.
- Date: Will be published just before the exam date.
- How to Check: You can find the seat plan on the admission website. You might also get an SMS.

Marks Distribution
The BUP admission test is an MCQ exam.
- Important: Yes, there is negative marking. For every wrong answer, 0.50 marks will be cut.
- You must get a minimum of 40% in English to qualify.
- Calculators are not allowed (except for FST & FOE exams).
The marks are different for each faculty:
FASS (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences) – Total 100 Marks:
- English: 40 Marks
- General Knowledge: 40 Marks
- Bangla: 20 Marks
FSSS (Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies) – Total 100 Marks:
- English: 40 Marks
- General Knowledge: 40 Marks
- Bangla: 20 Marks
FBS (Faculty of Business Studies) – Total 75 Marks:
- Mathematics and Analytical Ability: 40 Marks
- English: 25 Marks
- General Knowledge: 10 Marks
FST (Faculty of Science & Technology) / FOE (Faculty of Engineering) – Total 60 Marks:
- The test has 4 sections: Mathematics (20), Physics (20), Chemistry (20), and Biology (20).
- Candidates must answer 3 sections.
- For FOE (Engineering), you must answer Mathematics + any other two sections.
- For FST (Environmental Sc.), you must answer Biology + any other two sections.
Admission Result
BUP will publish the merit list of the written test on specific dates.
- Date: January 14, 2026 and January 20, 2026.

Final Admission
Passing the written test is the main step. BUP will prepare a final merit list based on the following marks distribution:
- Written Test (MCQ): 55%
- HSC/Equivalent Result: 25%
- SSC/Equivalent Result: 20%
If you are on the final merit list, you will get a date for admission. You must pay the fees and submit your original documents (like mark sheets) to get admitted.
